Our Philosophy

A deep respect for the earth and the importance of nurturing our whole being is what drives our purpose.
We are passionate about growing vegetables and making food that is rich with nutrients and energy in a way that regenerates the land we are farming on so that we are actively involved in looking after the earth for us and generations to come.

We believe that everyone has the right to feel ALIVE and for us, connecting with nature and nurturing your body, are fundamental pillars in this journey.

Our Farm

Food is central to our lives. It sustains us and brings people together - often in celebration.
What we eat is fundamental to how we feel, our happiness, our energy levels, and ultimately our drive for living the best lives we can and contributing our best to society. If our health is suffering it becomes difficult to be inspired and passionate. The way food (fruit and vegetables) is grown conventionally results in produce that is generally lacking in nutrients and energy, and so instead of nourishing ourselves we end up depriving our bodies of the essential nutrients we need for good health. Furthermore the conventional methods of agriculture deplete the soil and require unsustainable external inputs that are resulting in the rapid degradation of our environment.

On Rosenhof Farm, we’re passionate about reversing the industrialisation of our food and the pollution of the land that nurtures it.
We grow organic vegetables, biological apples, pears and raspberries, and free-range chickens.

Our Packaging

Our packaging is 100% sustainable.
We use compostable corn starch bags and recyclable glass for our vegetables and kitchen product packaging.
In this way we leave as light a detrimental imprint on the earth as possible.

Our Origins

Her Harvest was founded by Clare Kuiper in 2015.
I wanted to move from a place of philosophizing to actioning, and what could be more grounding and fundamentally transformative than growing one’s own food in a regenerative way.

I’ve always recognized that being in nature and actually getting your hands in the soil is deeply healing knowing that our hands are an extension of our heart. I believe this is a vital component in reclaiming the health of humanity. I love this excerpt…

“Grandma, how do you cope with pain?”

“With your hands, honey. If you do it with your mind instead of relieving the pain, it toughens even harder.”

“With your hands grandma?”

“Yes, our hands are the antennae of our soul. If you move them; knitting, cooking, painting, playing or sinking them into the ground, you send care signs to the deepest part of you and your soul lights up because you’re paying attention to it. Then signs of pain will no longer be necessary.”

“Hands are really that important?”

“Yes my daughter. Think of babies: they start to know the world through the touch of their hands. If you look at the hands of old people, they tell you more about their life than any body part. Everything that is done by hand is siad to be done with the heart. Because it’s really like this: hands and heart are connected. Masseurs know well: when they touch someone with their hands, they create a deep connection. It is precisely from this connection that healing comes. Think of lovers: when they touch their hands, they make love in a more sublime way.”

“My hands grandma…how long I haven’t used them like this!”

“Move them, my love. Begin to create with them and everything within you will begin to move. The pain will not pass away. And instead what you do with them will become the most beautiful masterpiece and it won’t hurt anymore. Because you have been able to transform it’s essense.”
